SAY HELLO TO RED IRON ORCHESTRA

We are very excited to announce that Elkion will be releasing a limited edition EP from Detroit's Red Iron Orchestra this summer. As mentioned a short while back, Red Iron Orchestra shares members of Elkion alumni Few & Far Between and Charlevoix. The band is currently putting the finishing touches on their EP, look for an August release.

STEALING SIGNS 2

Friend of Elkion and supremely talented artist, Mark Penxa, has finally unveiled his latest art exhibit, Stealing Signs II, over at his website.

If you're not familiar with Mark's work, then look no further than the album art for your favorite Few & Far Between and Heads Will Roll records. Not to mention countless t-shirt designs for both of these bands, skateboards for Girl Skateboards and snowboards for DC. Does the name Penxa ring a bell now? It should.

Hockey fan or not, make your way over to Mark's site and check out his latest exhibit. We recommend picking up one his amazing new pieces before they're gone (that will be very soon!). Don't risk living with the regret of missing out, get one (or a few) before they're gone and they start popping up on ebay for a small fortune.

Amazing drum & bass / husband & wife duo Brian (Few & Far Between) and Nikkie (Charlevoix/Lovesick) Galindo have a new band in the form of Red Iron Orchestra with some of their first shows coming up since hitting the recording studio. If you were fortunate enough to catch them play one of their first two shows you were no doubt left wanting more - and now, that time has come. RIO have 2 shows on the horizon, do check them out:

Thanks to everyone that made it out to the Few and Far Between show! It was truly something special. The Magic Stick was near capacity even with an earlier TicketMaster snafu. You may have noticed there were several cameras set up capturing the action, keep your eyes peeled for video that will be popping up very soon!

For those that didn't make it, there is talk of a show in NYC in the not so distant future, so stay tuned!

We have some new Elkion & Few and Far Between shirts left from the show, we'll get them added to the store after the new year for everyone else to get their hands on.

The Few and Far Between record is now shipping! Official 'street' release date coming in 2010.
